All Aspects of Building Work Undertaken

The first week of this project, we rebuilt the entire roof internally by sistering all existing rafters with 6x2 timbers. We did this to convert the truss roof system to a self supporting cut roof in order to achieve a vaulted ceiling finish. We installed 200+ timber lock structural screws, 1000+ nails and 300+ screws. Additionally we have built the last rafter into a new truss and chemically fixed it to the main house with M16 bolts, bolted all sistered rafters with M16 bolts and washers and finally installed restraint straps to connect the rafters to the existing brickwork. 

On top of this, we have also achieved the following:

- One External Wall And One Internal wall removed
- One 152 UB RSJ Installed and One 178 UB RSJ Installed
- Brickwork Installed to front garage door opening in preparation for window installation.
- DPM Installed to Floor to prevent moisture rising
- PIR Insulation Installed to the floor with Aluminium foil tape to seal all gaps. 

Our 3rd and final week at Waltham Cross consisted of the following works: 

- Two Velux Windows Installed
- Bifolds Supplied and Installed
- 1800 x 1000 PVC Window Installed
- Plasterboarding Complete
- Plastering Complete
- Self Leveling Compound supplied and Installed to 40sqm of floor
- 40sqm of LVT herringbone flooring installed
- Skirting, Architrave and Window board Installed
- Decoration Completed
- Two new Oak doors Installed with Ironmongery
